I wake up into a new rhythm today. No hitting the trail early today. Instead, I’m headed out to a laundromat to wash my clothes and change gears into a more restful rhythm as I wait for the love of my life to arrive. She will meet me in Lucca this afternoon. Until then, I’ll do laundry and get a haircut and do a bit of sightseeing here in Massa before heading south on the train to Lucca.

I wrap-up my sightseeing by noon and headed to the train station to grab a nearby lunch and board the train for Lucca.

Just shy of an hour after boarding his train the haggard pilgrim meets his beautiful bride on the platform of the Lucca train station and all is well.
